The head of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China Song Tao paid a visit to the Pardis Technology Park (PTP) during his sojourn in Iran on July 29th, 2019.

Accompanied by the vice president Sourena Sattari, Song Tao paid a visit to the permanent exhibition of technology products at the Pardis technology park and the knowledge-based products of the member companies were introduced to him.

"The Pardis Technology Park is one of the places that every foreign delegation that travels Iran yearns to visit,” Sattari said.

He said that the Pardis Technology Park, as a venue for hi-tech achievements, hosted over 1000 visitors during past Iranian calendar year 1397 (March 2018-March 2019), a part of which were foreign officials.

"While I visit Pardis Technology Park so often, I surprised by new hi-tech products each time I come here,” he added.

The visiting of high-ranking officials promote Iran’s science and technology aspect worldwide and causes the other countries to consider Iran as a place which is not an oil-based country but a land, which boasts professional human resources and hi-tech achievements in different fields, he said.

"Here in the Pardis Technology Park we show other countries the future economy of Iran,” he added.

During his visit, Song Tao extolled Iran’s importance in the field of science and technology.

The relation between Iran and China was strengthened with the Silk Road in ancient time and now the relationship is developed by the Belt and Road Initiative, he said.

Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is a global development strategy adopted by the Chinese government involving infrastructure development and investments in 152 countries and international organizations in Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.

Despite international challenges, the will of China for expanding relation with Iran is not changed and we appreciate the expansion of relation between two countries in the current situation, he added.

The U.S. pressure on Iran and China would not be successful and China supports Iran in defending its legal benefits. Iran does not only export oil but also develops in the field of science and technology, he said.

The main principle for development is innovation since it is an important factor in future worldwide hence the Iran-China relationship would be based on this issue, he concluded.
