The Eighth National Meeting of Regional Technomarts was Held

The 8th National Meeting of Regional Technomarts is held at Fars Province, on 5th and 6th of July 2017, with the aim of the synergy of technomarts, raising successful experiences and reviewing the latest technomarts activities.

According to the Public Relations Department of Pardis Technology Park, based on a proclamation of Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution notified to Pardis Technology Park in 2011, the process of creating and organizing regional and local technomarts was known as a PTP’s task. The National Technomarket Center expressed its readiness to support various regions of the country from the very first year, of which the result has been creation and establishment of 15 regional technomart centers in the country. Global meetings of technomarts are held periodically in order to increase cooperation and synergy among regional and local technomarts.

Some representatives from Iran National Technomarket Center, the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), Innovation and Prosperity Fund (NSFund), and 15 regional technomarts participated at this meeting which was held and hosted by the regional technomarts of Fars Province. Through this event, the latest status of plans and activities of the country’s technomarts is reviewed and the experiences gained from activities done toward development and prosperity of the country's technology market is shared.

According to the correspondent of Pardis Technology Park, Eng. Akbar Ghanbarpour, the manager of Iran National Technomarket Center, at the onset of the program, while welcoming the participants and appreciating Fars Province hosting, stated: "Our main approach at six first rounds of the regional technomart meetings was an evaluation of and reporting the technomarts’ performance. We have tried since the former round held in Mashhad, Razavi Khorasan Province, to increase the efficiency of meetings and changed the approach into providing experiences and transferring information.”

He reiterated: "this round of meeting is held with the approach of providing experiences and information by some of the successful regional technomarts and also organizations such as the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, and Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research.”

Giving more explanation, Ghanbarpour added: "a major part of this meeting is devoted to the activities of regional technomarts and expression of the experienced gained. These axes include aiding the commercialization of technology and technological products, marketing and sales of knowledge-based and technological products, holding technology tours and technology exchange meetings aimed at technology transfer, facilitating the entry of inventions into intellectual property (IP) market, completing the technology database of the province, identifying and meeting the needs of the province’s technology, facilitating the export of technological products, holding training courses in the technological fields of the country and participating in exhibitions and national and regional festivals.

Subsequently, representatives from Yazd, Kermanshah, and East Azerbaijan presented their successful experiences in this field.

In this meeting, topics such as future programs and festivals of IP market, the services of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology in the field of knowledge-based companies, introducing the services of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund and the facilities can be used so that technomarts come true, expressing successful experiences of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) in a partnership with South KoreanMinistryof Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) would be presented.

Explaining the future plans of Iran National Technology Center for marketing knowledge-based products, as well as identifying and meeting the technological needs of industries would be another part of the meeting.
