The Member of the Board of Directors of Mustafa Foundation underlined the importance of knowledge in the world and said, "The value and credit of each nation are evaluated based on its exploitation of knowledge and wisdom.”

As reported by the Public Relations Dept. of Pardis Technology Park and according to the Communications and Information Staff of Mustafa Foundation, Rasoul Dinarvand, the Member of the Board of Directors of Mustafa Foundation, said in the opening ceremony of the 5th Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP) in the Islamic Countries in the University of Karachi, Pakistan, "Only those nations who hold real knowledge can get use of technology and use it alongside improving the living quality of the people and they can bring about welfare, security and health for themselves.”

The Member of the Board of Directors of Mustafa Foundation added that "The golden era of the Islamic Civilization was built upon the efforts of the scholars who, based on the wise teachings of the Prophet of Islam, used knowledge alongside improving the living conditions of people.”

He added, "The achievements of this particular era led to the revelation of scientists such as Ibn-a Batutah, Ibn-e Sina, Ibn-e Haitham, Aburaihan Biruni and even several Muslim women scientists.”

·Contemporary Scientists are patterns for the youth

Having referred to the presence of the Muslim Scientists especially Professor Jackie Ying, the winner of Mustafa Foundation 2015 in the 5th Science & Technology Exchange Program (STEP), Dinarvand considered these figures as valuable symbols for the Muslim youth and said, "Mustafa Foundation is honored to introduce the scientists to the world and also to introduce their efforts to the people of the world.”

He emphasized that Mustafa Foundation is not a governmental institution and decelerated that, "This foundation follows the establishment of collaboration, synergy and development of new knowledge among the Islamic and non-Islamic countries with a non-governmental approach.”

The Faculty Member of Tehran University of Medical Sciences said that "Mustafa Foundation is pledged to improve the living conditions of people through supporting the young scientists.”

Having referred to the other activities of Mustafa Science & Technology Foundation for the development of the network of scientists in the world of Islam as well as the scientific communities, Mr. Dinarvand mentioned that, "The scientific achievements are exchanged easier through the exchange of communication among scientists.”

According to Dinarvand, enhancement of public awareness in science and technology, education and creation of suitable atmosphere for research in the social fields, establishing a network among the Muslim scientists, recognition of the famous scientists and establishment of scientific and technological collaborations in the international level are among the objectives based on which STEP and ISA are held.

Having referred to the former meetings of STEP in Iran, Malaysia and Oman, Mr. Dinarvand underlined that, "Promotion in collaborations and synergies with emphasis on high level of technology is the focus of attention in the Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP), and the 5th round of this event is due to be held with emphasis on the role of women scientists in the world of Islam.”

* Meetings of the Women’s Committee of Mustafa Foundation concurrently with the 5thRound of STEP

The Member of the Board of Directors of Mustafa Foundation asserted that "This foundation used the capabilities of women in different fields; besides, this foundation has formed a committee in this regard, in which the meetings of the women’s committee will be held.”

Having referred to the meetings of ISA, Mr. Dinarvand noted that, "The communication between the scientists and the owners of industries is of utmost importance and consists of distinct programs such as innovation laboratory, an exhibition of the achievements of the existing companies as well business meetings.”

He put an end to his words by saying a Hadith from Prophet Muhammad underlining the importance of knowledge and the necessity of exchanging it and said, "The Prophet of Islam said, ‘One who has a knowledge that does not share with others is similar to someone who owns wealth but he does not use it.”

The 5thScience and Technology Exchange Program (STEP) in the Islamic Countries is already being held in the sub-branches of contagious and non-contagious diseases and with the subject of prevention, diagnosis and treatment from Feb. 27th To Mar. 2nd 2019 in the University of Karachi, Pakistan.

One of the key activities of the 5th Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP) in the Islamic Countries is the emphasis on the role of the women scientists of the world of Islam in the development of science and technology and their significant attendance in this round of meetings.

This round of STEP is going to deal with the challenges of the world of Islam in the field of health and the latest medicinal approaches and achievements in order to face such challenges will be investigated.

On the sidelines of the 5th Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP) in the Islamic Countries, the 3rd exhibition for the introduction of industries with the achievements of the world of Islam will also be held, and companies, investors, engineers and scientists who have attained prosperities in productions or new services will meet each other in this four-day event. The meeting of ISA will continue concurrently with STEP in the University of Karachi.

It is worth noting that the Science and Technology Exchange Program (STEP) in the Islamic Countries will be an opportunity for the scientists and scholars of the Islamic countries to meet and share their successful achievements and experiences with each other and also for other young scientists.
