Attracting foreign investment in advanced technologies

Having attended theMinistry of Economic Affairs and Finance's deputy, it was explained in Pardis Technology Park;

The joint meeting "Attracting Foreign Investment in the Fields Related to Advanced Technologies" was hold between the Presidency's vice-president for science and technology, the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, Pardis Technology Park, the Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran, in Seraj Hall of the park.

According to the public relations department of Pardis Technology Park, Ali Morteza Birang, the vice-presidency for science and technology's deputy of international affairs and technology exchange introduced the vice-presidency for science and technology, focusing on the deputy for international affairs and technology exchange, stated: "Having taken the office by the prudence and hope government of Rouhani, good things have happened since 2 last years, especially in international aspect in which JCPOA was the turning point."

Having mentioned that this investment does not mean gain part of Iran's market, continued: "We are considering that the presence of these investors leads to promote the country's technology capacities. It is a prevailed happening in other countries. We are to make the country's market capacity as a booster for technology development and utilize the capacity of internal demand to be in line the support of knowledge-based companies."

"The previous meetings we have had with the minister's deputy and president of the Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran, in which our concerns were presented about attracting foreign investment in the knowledge-based realm, have led to increase the scientific interactions between this organization and the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology," Birang also added.

Setting up a special line to consider knowledge based companies rapidly

In another part of this meeting, Muhammad Khazaei, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance's deputy and president of the Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran, expressed: "Our target is to make a new environment for interactions and cooperation between the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance or the Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran and the Presidency's Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology. The main target, in a sense, is to design scientific proceedings for future."

"The "Research and development" case is a priority and also a necessity for our country in all realms," he also said. The scientific and technical progresses would not result in today's achievements, if there were not a number of young people, students and professors' scientific effort and power," he also said.

He continued: "Although the usual investment could lead to make money, investment in knowledge-based companies would result in making new wealth. Since creating jobs and the countries scientific progresses are effective factors in entrepreneurship.

In the following, Ahmadreza Alaei Tabatabaei, the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology's general manager of technology exchange office, introduced the triple sectors of the deputy for international affairs and technology exchange, the deputy's programs to support the export of knowledge-based products as the Office of International Business Development's plans), bilateral cooperation and technology exchange in the form of the Office of Technology Exchange and Technology Diplomacy's programs).

Muhammad Sahebkar Khorasani, the head of Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology's knowledge-based companies and institutions affairs, gave a speech to introduce the supportive laws for knowledge-based companies, focusing on evaluation and qualification of foreign investors and supports could be provided to them. A selective visit to some companies settled in Pardis Technology Park, and the exhibition of knowledge-based products was the ending of this one-day meeting.
