PTP, National Medical Device Directorate sign MoU

During a meeting which was held on the sidelines of INOTEX 2021, Pardis Technology Park and National Medical Device Directorate signed MoU.

The event was held in the presence of Head of Food and Drug Administration of The Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Reza Shanehsaz and Deputy Head of Pardis Technology Park for innovation development Akbar Ghanbarpour and Managing Director Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education for medical equipment affairs Saeed Reza Shahmoradi.

The MoU was aimed at promoting cooperation between these two bodies and increasing knowledge-based companies’ efficiency.

According to the MoU, part of the responsibilities of National Medical Device Directorate with regard to issuing relevant permit to manufacturers will be outsourced to private sector which can provide good services.

Another topic mentioned in the MoU is training the processes of granting permit by National Medical Device Directorate so that they could pass the way with the least difficulty.

The evaluation of the applicant companies as brokers of the National Medical Device Directorate is another subject mentioned in the MoU.

These companies should be selected and trained based on the standards and requirements of the National Medical Device Directorate.

The MoU also focuses on building expert laboratories. Pardis Technology has expressed its readiness to build laboratories with cooperation of private sector.

The National Medical Device Directorate also agreed to issue permits for building laboratories to provide some of the services which are not easily provided to companies, by establishing specialized laboratories in the park.

Another point mentioned in this MoU is to provide services to companies active in the field of health which have received knowledge-based permit.
