The brainstorming session on technology transfer among OIC member countries took place at SESRIC Head Quarters, in Ankara, Turkey on 19th January, 2014

    The brainstorming session on technology transfer among OIC member countries took place at SESRIC Head Quarters, in Ankara, Turkey on 19th January, 2014 participated by representatives from SESRIC, IDB, COMSTECH as well as CITC.

    At this meeting the representatives each delivered a presentation concerning the latest achievements and challenges of OIC Member countries for science and technology development and transfer. PTP representative also introduced the D8 TTEN network explaining its initial inception as well as its functioning and objectives, suggesting that this network can be a very good example for technology transfer among the OIC Member countries. At the concluding session of the meeting it was agreed to prepare a list of appropriate technologies provided by the D8 member countries to be shared by the rest of the Islamic countries.

    It is noteworthy to mention that this project was initially recommended by Presidency Center for Innovation and Technology Cooperation to the Islamic Development Bank.
