Managing Director of 'ILYA Science and Technology Development Company' which is a member of Pardis Technology Park Hamzeh Kazerouni said researchers produced reforming unit catalysts for producing gas.

Due to the fact that after 10 years sanctions, catalysts have come to the end of their useful life, it would be a suitable opportunity to use these knowledge-based products in refinery units, he added.

He noted that two American and French companies produce over 95% of catalytic reforming in the world.

China and Russia also produce them but they are not of high quality.

Accordingly, Iran could make nanocatalysts with high performance, Kazerouni said.

By replacing these catalysts with current ones, refineries' income will increase by $30m, he added.

Thanks to the fact that nanocatalysts directly affect gas production and promote it by about 8%, it will increase refineries' income.

Kazerouni went on to say that catalytic reforming is regarded as heart of refinery since in addition to gas, hydrogen is also produced here.

Iranian official said that Diesel Fuel Nano Additive IFA133 is also produced and countries like Turkey, China and Côte d'Ivoire have so far requested for it.
