Oil Industry Innovation and Technology Park hosted INOTEX Pitch in Tehran.

The event was held in the presence of adviser to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Akbar Ghanbar Pour, Head of Oil Industry Innovation and Technology Park Farhang Fasihi, Secretary of INOTEX Sajjad Abbasi Fashami and Iranian lawmaker Hajar Chenarani and with participation of 18 startups.

Addressing the event, Ghanbar Pour said 10% of Iran’s gross domestic product (GDP) by 1404 will be based on the digital economy.

The sales of the country's knowledge-based companies worth 900 billion tomans, which is 1 to 2% of the country's GDP.

Meanwhile, Abbasi Fashami said the INOTEX Pitch will be held in Fars, Qom, Zanjan, Kermanshah, Semnan and Tehran.

INOTEX Pitch is the largest national event of startup competition with the presence of creative and innovative teams from different cities, aiming to discover talents and support their ideas to help develop knowledge-based economy and innovation in the country.
