During the closing ceremony of the special section of the 5th Noor student competition, which was held simultaneously with the closing ceremony of the first exhibition of achievements and best research projects of SAMPAD students, 4 selected groups were honored, Mustafa Prize reported.

The final ceremony of the special part of the 5th Noor student competition was held on February 15th, 2023, with the presence of Seyed Ali Omrani, the executive director of the Mustafa(pbuh) Science and Technology Foundation(pbuh), Elham Yavari, the secretary of the special section of the 5th Noor Student Competition and the head of the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (SAMPAD), and Hazem Faripour, the secretary of Noor student competition at Hijab Hall of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.

“The subject of this competition is the making of one-minute scientific films. This competition has been held 5 times, with 7,000 scientific films having been made by students so far,” Faripour said.

“This competition is held in scientific fields that are related or unrelated to the curriculum. Every year, from 1500 to 2000 films are received and about 100 best works are selected from among them,” he added.

“The call for the 6th round of the Noor student competition will be published soon and will be sent to SAMPAD students. Most of the organizers and judges of the Noor Student Competition have been graduates of SAMPAD,” Faripour continued.

The secretary of the Noor Student Competition further talked about the activities of the Mustafa (pbuh) Science and Technology Foundation.

“Mustafa(pbuh) Prize has been granted since 2013 and has been called ‘the Islamic Nobel Prize’ by the world’s leading media. So far, 4 rounds of the Mustafa (pbuh) Prize have been held. In each round, 2 to 5 of the prominent scientists from the Islamic world receive valuable awards” he stated.

“The Mustafa(pbuh) Foundation, which promotes science in the Islamic world in the name of Prophet Muhammad al-Mustafa(pbuh), organizes the Noor student competition which commemorates one of the world's famous scientists each year,” Faripour added.

“The topic of the top 100 films in the general section of the 5th Noor competition was visual errors. The topic of the special section was the demonstration of mathematical concepts, that is, making real mechanical examples of mathematical concepts,” The secretary of the Noor student competition said.

“SAMPAD is in charge of the 5th Noor Student competition. This marks SAMPAD’s first collaboration with Noor Student Competition,” he concluded.
