Pardis Technology Park has been named as the largest technology park in Iran and West Asia this year, which is the year of knowledge-based and production.

Pardis Technology Park, as one of the organizations affiliated with the Vice Presidency for science and technology, is located 20 kilometers northeast of Tehran, in front of the new city of Pardis and next to Karasht.

About 400 technology companies are active in Pardis Technology Park, and more than 1,700 products and technologies produced by the technology park have joined the domestic market.

Budget allocation is at the top of science and technology park activities and is actually the Achilles heel of these measures.

Based on the conditions that were proposed to increase the budget, this year there was no significant increase in the budget bill for Pardis Technology Park and other parks.

Over the last one or two years, Pardis Technology Park has signed several MoUs with various groups, including a contract for the purchase of 327 hectares of innovation development land with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

A memorandum of understanding has been signed with New Towns Development Company for building Ferdows and elite residential area.

During President Ebrahim Raisi visit to Pardis Technology Park, he emphasized the quantitative and qualitative development of Pardis Technology Park and the building Ferdows town, and a memorandum of understanding was signed between Pardis Technology Park and the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

President Raisi described developing a knowledge-based economy as the country's priority in line with growth and development.

Highlighting the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution's emphasis on the development of knowledge-based production, the president termed the role of science and technology parks in materializing this goal as important.

He also urged all the actors in the knowledge-based ecosystem to play an active role in this regard.

Raisi underlined the necessity of providing easy and cheap drug for people during his visit to the knowledge-based pharmaceutical companies.
