Due to the complexity of the human digestive system, usually some air is injected into the area to open the wrinkles of the digestive system and the endoscopic tube can move through the body's channels, Founder of Turan Teb Company Zahra Turani said.

Air injection has risks such as pain, rupture of internal organs and air retention in the abdominal area, she added.

So, we produced a device that injects CO2 gas into the body instead of air, she noted.

We are trying to facilitate patients' access to diagnosis and treatment by producing the required medical devices inside the country and reducing the purchase and maintenance costs, Turani said.

Meanwhile, Ali Mohades Deilami, another founder of the company, said: Since 2002, international studies have been started for using CO2 in the endoscopy process, and devices have been produced as gas insufflators.

Currently, the main method of treating cancers of the digestive system is timely diagnosis, and doctors also treat them using an endoscope device if they see cancerous cells during the examination, he said.

Therefore, the time of these operations has increased and air injection can have risks, he added.
